Questions that continue to remain unanswered:

Why are healthy trees being removed, yet supposedly unhealthy ones remain?

How does removing trees, benches and the pergola really answer public safety concerns and cleanliness problems? Especially if Parks Dept STILL has no funding, management, maintenance or security plans to offer the community?

Why is Parks Department not working with all voices in Pioneer Square to achieve goals the entire community can support and rally behind?

Is a chain saw really the right answer to address social, economic and management problems?
Good things!

It is great to have so many people concerned about Occidental Square Park - regardless of whether they support the Parks Department plan or oppose it. Every park in Seattle should be so lucky to have people who care so deeply about them and be willing to get involved.

Thanks to all who are raising their voice to help this Park achieve it's full potential.

Everyone should be heard and all bring value to the table - no matter their views on this plan. The more people are involved - especially in decision making and communicating - the better any solutions and outcomes can be.

Pioneer Square remains one of the most amazing neighborhoods in all of Seattle - and is a treasure that should be supported, enhanced and cultivated.
